Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist, Ohene Kwame Frimpong on Wednesday October 2021 donated a cash amount of GHC 185,000 for the reconstruction of a Central Mosque for Muslims in Asante Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The amount constituted over 80% of the cost total investment needed to upgrade the Mosque.

The gesture was described by many in Ghana and abroad as noble and remarkable- for specific reason that Mr OK Frimpong is a Christian businessman who is investing in Islamic religion. There were instances where OK Frimpong had to join construction workers onsite to mix concrete, and carry other building materials and actively participated in the masonry work of the reconstruction — which is expected to be completed in 2023.
